COMMON QUESTIONS

I've never done yoga before. Is Ashtanga too difficult?

Ashtanga is suitable for complete beginners. In Mysore-style classes, you'll learn at your own pace with personalized instruction. We'll start with basic postures and breathing, gradually building your practice.

What's the difference between Mysore and Led classes?

In Mysore classes, you practice at your own pace with individual guidance. Led classes are guided by the teacher's count in Sanskrit. We recommend starting with Mysore to learn the sequence properly.

How often should I practice as a beginner?

Start with 3 times per week to allow your body to adapt. As you build strength and stamina, you can increase to 4-6 days per week. Consistency is more important than frequency.

Do I need to be flexible?

No prior flexibility is required. Ashtanga yoga will gradually increase your flexibility, strength, and stamina. The practice meets you where you are and helps you progress safely.
